Alabama House approves gambling proposal; Heads to Senate for further consideration

The Alabama House of Representatives approved a sweeping gambling proposal with an aim to put lottery and casino legislation before voters in November. The measure passed on a 70-32 vote exceeding the required 63 affirmative votes in the House for a proposed change to the Alabama Constitution.
