Dale County Deputy Coroners appointed

The Dale County Commission appointed three deputy coroners at the Commission meeting held Tuesday, January 24. Dale County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Adam Bruhn was appointed Chief Deputy Coroner while Daleville Department of Public Safety Assistant Fire Chief David Grubbs was appointed Deputy Coroner for Daleville, Level Plains, and Clayhatchee. Ricky Stokes was appointed Deputy Coroner for Southeast Health and Flowers Hospital.

Governor signs proclamation setting $5,000 reward for information in Dorrill murder investigation

Ozark Post 82 of the American Legion met last Saturday, February 4th, at the DAV Lodge (previously the American Legion Hall). District Commander Al Lott presented the Post Commander at the meeting with a 100% Renewal Certificate from the State of Alabama American Legion. It was originally presented to Post Commander Elaine McLeod at the State Convention in Mobile last month. The Post 82 Officers are Commander J. Concerned Citizens bring Oben Everett Park complaints to Council

Oben Everett Park was the focus of Gene Lynn’s concerns during the February 7 Ozark City Council meeting. Lynn, a member of the Concerned Citizens of Ozark, was selected by members of the community to be their voice after several approached him with complaints. Armed with pictures of Oben Everett and a comparison photo of Steagall Park, Lynn listed concerns from the need to resurface the basketball courts to the layout of new playground equipment.
