The Enterprise State Community College Foundation is rolling out the red carpet for this year’s “Dancing for Scholarships” event happening Tuesday, October 24.

“Dancing for Scholarships” is the Foundation’s annual scholarship fundraising event. Last year, the dancing competition raised over $76,000 that were used to fund ESCC Foundation scholarships covering a variety of career and degree programs. Currently, scholarships offered through the ESCC Foundation total around $100,000.

The Carroll Eagles hosted the number 3 team in the state for Division 5A, the Charles Henderson Trojans. The game didn’t start out the way the Eagles would have liked it to, but their never give up attitude wasn’t going to be denied.

The Trojans received the opening kickoff and scored a touchdown in the first minute of the game. Just seven minutes later they scored again, putting the Eagles at a 14-0 disadvantage.

Carroll Eagles Show Resilience Despite Loss to Navarre Raiders

Friday night our Carroll Eagles hosted the Raiders of Navarre, Florida.  It took the Raiders only three plays and 1 minute and 26 seconds to score the opening touchdown.  The point after touchdown (PAT) was good. On the ensuing kickoff, Carroll returned the favor by scoring their own touchdown in just five plays.  The PAT was good, tying the game at 7-7.  That is what ended up being the only great highlight of the game in the first half.
