With a guaranteed seed into the high school 5A playoffs, Carroll hosted the Rams from Valley, Alabama Friday night October 27. The fans knew that without the Eagles starting quarterback, things were going to be tough! Keyshawn Cole is out for the rest of the season due to last week’s injury to his leg. So, at the helm for the offense, Peyton Plott had some big shoes to fill. Up to the challenge, Plott came out in the first quarter and did what he does best, ran with the ball. However, it was Lakeith Person who drew first blood on a 2-yard touchdown run.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 24/24 Alabama men's basketball team defeated Morehead State 105-73 Monday night in Coleman Coliseum in the season opener for both teams.

The Crimson Tide had four players finish with double digits, led by Grant Nelson with a game-high 24 points and seven rebounds. He was joined in double figures with Aaron Estrada (16 points, Mark Sears (13) and Jarin Stevenson adding 12 points in his collegiate debut.

After months of rumors, then months of anticipation after the rumors were confirmed, the Enterprise location of ALDI had their Grand Opening on Friday, November 3. Located in the Enterprise Shopping Center where the old Walmart/Big Lots used to be, the down-to-the-studs remodeled building was pristine for the people lined up almost to the far end of the shopping center. Some people arrived in line as early as 5:30 a.m. on the chilly morning to claim their place in the lengthy line and get chances on a variety of prizes.

Ozark City Council approves $250,000 grant for AATC apartment project

The Ozark City Council has given the green light for a $250,000 grant towards the construction of a 28-unit apartment complex for the Alabama Aviation Technical College (AATC). The decision, which was made on November 7, also includes a 99-year lease for the portion of city-owned property situated in front of the Friends of Army Aviation on Campus Drive. The project includes property located at 308 Campus Drive, formerly the home of Homer Andrews, as well as 189 Heritage Road.
