Carroll Soccer Scores Big Wins

The boys’ and girls’ soccer teams at Carroll continue to get wins. The boys defeated Andalusia 5-1 Tuesday night to move one step closer to an area title. Devin Weaver scored three times while Brayden Gilbert scored twice to lead the boys.

Meanwhile in, New Brockton, Abby Doremus scored twice, added an assist, and had five saves and goal in the second half to help the Lady Eagles to the 9–0 win. Millan Tharp, Savannah Pedroza, Audrey McDonald, Jordan Culp, Ashley Cairns, Laynie Recor and Edie Chancey each scored for Carroll. Emmy Ganey, Savannah Pedroza and Emma Edler each had two assists while Kaylee Johnson and Culp each had one. Recor, Shelby Weeks and Sahara Moreno led the defense. Allison King earned the winning goal, allowing no goals in the first half.

On Thursday, Emma Edler scored twice to lead the Lady Eagles (10-4-1) to the win over GW Long. Tenley White, Audrey McDonald, Savannah Pedroza each scored once while Kaylee Johnson, Arianna Means and Abigail Griffin scored their first career goals. Abby Doremus, Laynie Recor and Jordan Culp each had two assists while Ashley Cairns added one.
