The Dale County Commission approved the early renewal of County Administrator Cheryl Ganey’s contract at the County Commission meeting held Tuesday, October 12. Ganey’s previous contract, approved in December 2020, does not expire until 2023; however, the Commission, Ganey, and county attorney Matthew Simechak saw an opportunity to ‘clean up’ some elements of the administrator’s contract. The new three-year contract cancels out Ganey’s previous contract and becomes effective November 1, 2022.
