By Christopher Mobley

The suspect in the controversial Ozark, AL murder trial has once again requested to be released on bond.

Coley McCraney, who has been charged and is currently on trial for the 1999 murders of  J.B. Beasley and Tracie Hawlett, has recently requested to be released on bond. According to his legal team, McCraney does not pose a danger to the community, nor a flight risk, as he has no criminal history, and his family has resided in the Ozark and Dothan areas for most of his life. McCraney’s previous request for bond was denied in 2019.
