Fifth Free Cat Friday Planned to Ease Overcrowding at Ozark Animal Shelter

Ozark Animal Control and the Ozark Animal Shelter are planning their Fifth Free Cat Friday for January 14 between 9 am and 5 pm at the Ozark Animal Shelter on Parker Road in Ozark. Shelter Manager, Miranda Daniels, says adoptions are essential to controlling overcrowding at the no-kill, nonprofit shelter.

A stopped train at the railroad crossing on Broad Street in Ozark raised some concerns among those stopped waiting for the train to resume its forward motion. A video posted on social media Sunday afternoon simply showed a stopped train on the tracks that traverse between Ewell and Ariton, crossing through Ozark.

Alleged Counterfeit Ring Found in Daleville Raid

On Thursday, January 6, authorities raided a Daleville, AL residence. It is now being reported that the raid was to bust a possible counterfeit ring operating out of said residence. 

According to details given to WDHN, the raid was a federal operation, and took place at a home on Forest Hill Drive. Local authorities, along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Daleville Department of Public Safety also assisted at the scene of the raid.
