1. Alleged Counterfeit Ring Found in Daleville Raid

    On Thursday, January 6, authorities raided a Daleville, AL residence. It is now being reported that the raid was to bust a possible counterfeit ring operating out of said residence. 

    According to details given to WDHN, the raid was a federal operation, and took place at a home on Forest Hill Drive. Local authorities, along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Daleville Department of Public Safety also assisted at the scene of the raid.

    Ta’mario Greenwood, 31 of Ozark, was arrested on two charges of 2nd Degree Assault by Ozark Police on Thursday, December 23.   16. Alabama Heartbeat Act Could Restrict Abortions in the State

    Alabama legislators have introduced a new bill, the Alabama Heartbeat Act, that will prohibit medical providers from performing abortions once cardiac activity is detected and allowing private citizens to file civil lawsuits against anyone who aids and abets an abortion. Those filing lawsuits will also be eligible to collect at least $10,000 in damages for performed abortions.

  20. Level Plains Police Continue Search for Potentially Armed and Dangerous Suspect

    A Level Plains man, who is considered possibly armed and dangerous, is still on the run from the Level Plains police. The fleeing suspect, Dylan Lamar Pritchard, is currently wanted on suspicion of theft, drug possession, and other charges. 

    Pritchard is described as a white male with long black hair, approximately 5’ 8”. He also has tattoos on both arms,  and was last reported to be wearing tan pants and shirtless with a handcuff on his right wrist.

The search warrant pertained to a child exploitation investigation being conducted by SBI’s SVU.

    Ozark City Schools will remove the mask mandate put into effect at the beginning of this school year. Students may return to school after the Thanksgiving holiday without the requirement of masks in the classroom on Monday, November 29. School officials say the decision came after careful consideration and discussions with local physicians as well as other health officials.

    While the mandate has been lifted, school officials are still encouraging the use of masks by students and staff.
